This letter serves to ask for assistance in pursuing my dreams of becoming a successful business man. I was fascinated by the business arena from a young age of 11 years old where I single handed produced and market my own brand of beaded necklaces and rings, where the profit I made was used to help in transportation to and from school. I was made more aware of the business arena in third form at Irwin High School due to my active participation in the Jamaica Junior Achievers Club where I was the accounting specialist of Irwin High School brand of newspaper “The Buzz”. During my time at Irwin High School I graduated with eight Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) subjects in the ranges of distinctions in Principles of Business and Principles of Accounts, credits in Information Technology, Integrated Science, Social Studies and Geography and Passes in Mathematics and English Language. Also, I was the student of the year and a top business studies student during my tenure at Irwin High School.
Besides academics I played a vital role in the Irwin High Schools ISSA DA Costa Cup Schoolboy Soccer team where I helped my team to finish 3rd in the zone B of the first round of the competition, also I am a Volunteer Tutor of the Le’ Antonio’s Foundation Homework and Development Center where I assist children to complete homework assignment and other youths to do better in literacy.
I was given an offer to attend the Montego Bay community College for the academic year 2012-2013 but due to financial situation I wasn’t able to achieve my goal. The tuition fee is One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Jamaican dollars ($120,000.00) which is equivalent to One Thousand Two Hundred US dollars (US$1200.00). Any assistance to help attend a College or University locally or abroad would greatly be appreciated. Thank you for your kind consideration. Please help me to accomplish my dream – Wellesley Dawkins
