Le Antonio’s Foundation Youth Conference 2015 is pleased to present as a guest speaker –Mr. Aubrey Stewart, former Junior Mayor of Montego Bay, St James.

Mr. Stewart is an example of leadership for youths in inner-city communities – He was raise in the inner-city community of Albion Lane, St James and excelled at Cornwall College High School where he served as Head Boy; he is currently pursuing a degree in Political Leadership, Strategy and Management at the University of the West Indies, Mona- Western Jamaica Campus where he is also the President of the Guild of Students. On Thursday, April 9, 2015 U.S. President Barack Obama was greeted by Mr. Aubrey Stewart, who introduced him during a town hall meeting at the University of the West Indies, in Kingston, Jamaica

As the president of the Guild of Students at the University of the West Indies Western Jamaica Campus, Aubrey was honored with the Prime Minister’s Youth Award for Excellence in Leadership. In 2013 he was awarded the Governor General Youth Award for Excellence in Leadership and the National Young Leader Award from the Council of Voluntary Services for outstanding Volunteerism.

Mr. Stewart is the Founder and Host of the HELP NETWORK, a weekly half hour program on SPY TV that highlights different stories of individuals with special needs (i.e. Children (Ages 0-15), Homeless, Elderly, Persons living with disabilities as well as highlighting talented Jamaicans and Business of the West. He established the UWI-WJC KIDS giving young people from various inner city communities in Montego Bay an opportunity to be exposed to activities which are not thought at their school or community level- Community that we involved include: North Gully, Albion Lane, Glendevon, Mt. Salam, Flankers and Granville.

This dynamic youth leader will leave a lasting impression on the youths of Le Antonio’s Foundation Youth Conference 2015 on November 5 as they get a first hand view of the difference hard work, motivation, and dedication will garner.
